  • Criminal Background and Child Abuse Check on every person over 14 in the house.
  • First Aid/CPR certified
  • All medications and toxic, poisonous, or otherwise unsafe materials are secured from access by a child.
  • Fire extinguishers and smoke detectors are in the home.
  • Smoking is prohibited.
  • 12 hours of training every year.

In-home child care providers can be registered or non-registered. Registered Child Development Homes are CHECKED for the above! ASK your in home provider if she has a registered child development home.
